About Dr Stephanie Rea

Specialist Dermatologist

Dr Stephanie Rea is a specialist Dermatologist and a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. She completed her dermatology specialist training in Queensland, working at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Royal Brisbane Hospital, Queensland Children's Hospital, and the Mater Hospital.

During her training, Dr Rea was awarded the prestigious Travelling Fellowship Award for achieving the highest overall score in the National Examinations, enabling her to travel to the United States to spend time at the renowned Mayo Clinic.

Dr Rea graduated from James Cook University with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours.

She holds a Masters of Public Health and a Masters of Medicine in Sexual and Reproductive Health. She is currently undertaking further fellowship studies as a Sexual Health Physician.

Dr Rea is the clinical lead of the combined Dermatology and Sexual Health Multidisciplinary Clinic at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. She additionally serves as a Consultant Dermatologist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a complex medical dermatology clinic. Dr Rea is involved in the supervision and teaching of Dermatology registrars.

Her clinical interests include general medical dermatology with a particular focus on female genital dermatology, hidradenitis suppurativa, autoimmune-related skin disorders (eg lupus), acne, eczema, psoriasis and skin cancer.
